Empowering Stakeholders Through Mini-Grid Development Training

As part of our commitment to advancing sustainable energy solutions, we recently conducted a specialized technical training on mini-grid development targeting key stakeholders in Uganda’s energy and skills development sectors.

A total of 16 participants including officials from the Ministry of Energy, GIZ Uganda, Nakawa Vocational Training College, and the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development—took part in this capacity-building initiative.

The training, delivered under the GIZ Employment and Skills for Development in Africa (E4D) program, focused on essential aspects of mini-grid planning and design, equipping participants with practical skills and insights to support energy access and rural electrification efforts across the country.

This engagement highlights our ongoing efforts to build local technical capacity and support Uganda’s transition to clean and inclusive energy systems.
